In a heartwarming display of solidarity and empathy, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chapter Chairmen and Executive of Uyo Senatorial District, led by their Political Leader Hon. Kufre Etuk, came together to pay a poignant condolence to Princess Dr Victoria Ibokette. To sympathize with her on the demise of her mother, Her Majesty, Deaconess Nsine Matadi Ibokette JP who was a mother hen for People across the state.
On arrival at her residence, the Political Leader Hon. Kufre Etuk expressed solemnity, and the delegation conveyed their condolences with deep sincerity and respect. The Leader commended Dr. Ibokette for her strength and resilience during this difficult time, and he assured her of the APC family’s unwavering support.
Princess Dr Victoria Ibokette visibly touched by the gesture, welcomed the delegation with gratitude. She expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming love and support from different political parties and now the APC community, and not just stakeholders but the entire District coming together. She was overwhelmed with the show of love.
As the meeting progressed emotions ran high as anecdotes and fond memories of Her Majesty, Deaconess Nsine Matadi Ibokette were shared, reflecting on the profound impact and contributions she had around her and also her unwavering love for humanity. The gathering became a celebration of her life and legacy, a testament to the love and respect she had garnered throughout the years.
It was gathered that the APC Chapter Chairmen and Exco visit were not the only ones to extend their condolences to Princess Dr Victoria Ibokette and her family during this challenging time. Two weeks prior to the burial various groups, including Members of Qua Iboe Church, Christ Embassy, Uyo, Ibom Golf and Country Club Uyo, Premium Table Tennis Club, Exco and Members of the Princess Victoria Ibokette Foundation, PDP Stakeholders, Labour Party Members, FRSC Special Marshall, The Police Force, and members of different Organizations in the society paid their condolences.
Their collective presence served as a reminder of the interconnectedness of the communities and the importance of standing together in times of grief. It also showcased unity and understanding amongst the great people of Akwa Ibom State.
